Everton will be looking for their third consecutive win when they travel to the Midlands to face Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
The Toffees beat Mansfield Town 2-0 in Wednesday’s Carabao Cup fixture, while Wolves triumphed against West Ham United in the cup game.
Match Preview
Vitor Pereira’s side have had a difficult start to the 2025-26 Premier League campaign, losing their opening two Premier League matches to Manchester City and Bournemouth.
Pep Guardiola’s side inflicted a damaging 4-0 defeat at the Molineux Stadium after goals from Erling Haaland, Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Cherki.
The away clash at the Vitality Stadium saw Wolves reduced to 10-men and losing the encounter after Marcus Tavernier’s winner.
On the other hand, Everton have seen big signs of improvement following the 1-0 defeat to Leeds United in the opening weekend.
They have since claimed an excellent 2-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion at their new Hill Dickinson Stadium, with Iliman Ndiaye and James Garner the goalscorers.
The Toffees followed that up with a 2-0 success against Mansfield Town to proceed to the next round of the Carabao Cup.
Team News
Jorgen Strand Larsen has told Wolves that he wants to leave the club this summer. But despite speculation over his future, the 25-year-old is expected to start Saturday’s home match. Toti Gomes received a red card at Bournemouth last weekend, but he served his suspension against the Hammers in midweek and so will be available for selection.
Everton boss David Moyes had made several changes to the team against Mansfield, but he is expected to restore his best XI against Wolves. The only change from last weekend could be at left-back, where Vitaliy Mykolenko is available again.
