Everton will welcome Bournemouth to Goodison Park in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday afternoon.
The Toffees outclassed Peterborough United 2-0 in the third round last month, while Andoni Iraola’s side thrashed West Bromwich Albion 5-1 to make it thus far in the competition.
Match Preview
The mood around Everton has significantly improved since David Moyes took over as new manager in January.
The Scot endured a difficult start as his first game in charge resulted in a 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa.
But he has since led his team to three wins on the bounce against Tottenham Hotspur, Brighton & Hove Albion and Leicester City.
Everton were particularly at their destructive best at the weekend against Leicester, as they smashed four unanswered goals to claim an emphatic win at Goodison Park.
They will now turn their attention to the FA Cup, a tournament they haven’t won since 1995.
Moyes’ side are expected to find a tough opponent in Bournemouth, who have had an excellent 2024-25 season so far.
The Cherries have beaten the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle United this season, and are currently sitting seventh in the Premier League table.
Bournemouth lost 2-0 to Liverpool in their previous game on Saturday, but that came after an 11-game unbeaten run in the English top-flight.
Team News
Moyes will not be able to call upon the services of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Armando Broja and Youssef Chermiti as they are all recovering from their fitness issues. Dwight McNeil is also sidelined with injury, but James Garner and Tim Iroegbunam are available for selection after regaining full fitness.
Bournemouth are all dealing with several injury woes this weekend. Luis Sinisterr, Alex Scott, Julian Araujo, James Hill and Adam Smith will all be absent for Saturday’s FA Cup game as they are in the infirmary.

Everton vs Bournemouth prediction
Everton have seen a significant improvement under Moyes, but they are expected to face a tough challenge against an in-form Bournemouth side. We are expecting a 1-1 draw, but feel the Toffees will ultimately prevail on penalties.
