Everton players at the 2026 World Cup

Excitement among football fans is peaking, with the opening game of the 2026 World Cup between Mexico and South Africa taking place on June 11.

All 48 teams have announced their squads, and just four Everton stars have been picked.

Below we look at all of the Toffees’ stars who are set to showcase their skills in North America.

Jordan Pickford (England)

Pickford is set to play a pivotal role for England into another major tournament.

He is yet to taste success with the Three Lions, although he has reached the final of two European Championships and the latter stages of the World Cup.

Pickford’s form tailed off at the end of the season, but he is expected to keep his starting spot in North America despite Dean Henderson enjoying another strong campaign.

Nathan Patterson (Scotland)

Patterson was on the fringes of the squad last season, making just seven Premier League appearances for Everton.

The 24-year-old will likely be sold in the summer transfer window, but he is highly rated by Scotland boss Steve Clarke.

Patterson will likely be part of the Tartan Army’s team against Haiti in their World Cup opener.

Idrissa Gueye (Senegal)

Gueye’s Everton future is a source of speculation, with the midfielder’s contract expiring at the end of this month.

The 36-year-old picked up a hamstring injury that saw him miss the last four games of the season.

However, he is back in the mix for Senegal after returning to full training.

Iliman Ndiaye (Senegal)

Ndiaye enjoyed an impressive 2025-26 campaign for Everton and is set to represent Senegal at the 2026 World Cup.

The 26-year-old hasn’t always been a guaranteed starter for his nation, but he will surely feature one way or the other.

Ndiaye helped Senegal win the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year, and will now look to shine for his country at the World Cup.
