Everton will be looking to claim back-to-back Premier League wins under David Moyes when they take on Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.
Both clubs haven’t been very convincing this campaign, but they were both excellent with their performances last weekend.
Match Preview
Manager David Moyes led his team to a morale-boosting 3-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in his second game in charge.
The Toffees were particularly impressive in the first-half of the Goodison Park encounter, as they created many brilliant chances and took them too.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin opened the scoring in the 13th minute before Iliman Ndiaye added another with a sensational finish.
An own-goal from Archie Gray meant Everton were in complete control of the game at half-time.
Their levels dropped in the second-half, allowing Spurs to strike twice through Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison. But the hosts held out to seal a 3-2 success, ending their winless drought in the English top-flight.
Moyes will want to continue their momentum when they travel to the Amex Stadium to take on Brighton & Hove Albion.
But the Seagulls are unlikely to be easy opponents in their own backyard. They ended their eight-game winless run in the top-flight by beating Ipswich Town 2-0 before condemning Manchester United to a 3-1 defeat at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Team News
Fabian Hurzeler will be dealing with several injury woes this weekend, with Lewis Dunk and Matt O’Riley set to miss out. Igor has been ruled out for the long term, while Ferdi Kadioglu and James Milner are also not expected to return until February.
As for Everton boss Moyes, Armando Broja and Dwight McNeil will not be available due to fitness issues. James Garner has returned to full training, but he is unlikely to be involved in Saturday’s game.
