Preview: Brentford vs Everton – Prediction, Team News, Line-ups

Brentford and Everton will go head-to-head in an exciting Premier League fixture at the Gtech Community Stadium on Wednesday night.

At a time when Thomas Frank’s side are in 11th place in the standings, the Toffees are sitting three spots below them in 14th.

Match Preview

David Moyes has completely transformed Everton since taking over from Sean Dyche in January.

The Merseyside outfit were mired in relegation when the Scot first arrived, but they are now unbeaten in their previous six league matches.

Their most recent result saw them holding Manchester United to a 2-2 stalemate at Goodison Park.

Everton were in a brilliant position to secure maximum points from the home clash after scoring twice in the first-half.

But a sluggish display after the break allowed United to make a comeback as they managed to level the scores in the latter stages.

Moyes’ men will now take on an in-form Brentford side, who played out a goalless draw in the reverse fixture in November.

The Bees will be coming off an emphatic 4-0 win over Leicester City on Friday. They have won three of their previous four league matches and are competing for a place in Europe next season.

Team News

Brentford boss Thomas Frank will be dealing with several injury woes this week. Mathias Jensen has picked up an adductor injury that will keep him out until next month. Aaron Hickey, Rico Henry, Josh Dasilva and Igor Thiago will also be missing due to fitness issues.

As for Everton, Jesper Lindstrom is a doubt for the away clash after being forced off with illness in the previous game. Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja are still sidelined, but they don’t seem to be missing the duo as Beto is enjoying a brilliant form.

Brentford vs Everton prediction

Confidence in the Everton camp will be very high following their recent resurgence in form. But they are expected to face a difficult opponent in Brentford who thrashed Leicester 4-0 in their last match.

However, given the Bees’ miserable home form in recent months, we are backing Everton to come away with all three points on Wednesday night.
