Preview: Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Everton – Prediction, Team News, Line-ups

Football fans can enjoy plenty of exciting matches as Premier League football returns this weekend.

Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers are set to meet on Saturday night at the Molineux Stadium. The Toffees are currently sitting 16th in the table, while Vítor Pereira’s side are a spot below them, albeit the two have a difference of 10 points.

Match Preview

The mood around Everton has been very positive since David Moyes returned to Goodison Park as manager in January.

The Blues played out a 1-1 draw at Brentford in their previous league outing, extending their unbeaten run to eight matches in the English top-flight.

The Bees were on track for a home victory when Yoane Wissa put them ahead on the stroke of half-time. But the visitors rallied in the second-half to equalise through Jake O’Brien and came away with a point from West London.

This came after they held Manchester United to a thrilling 2-2 draw at Goodison following goals from Beto and Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Everton will look to continue their momemtum when they meet Wolves at the Molineux Stadium this weekend.

The Old Gold haven’t had much to be cheerful about this season, as they are sitting on the edge of the relegation zone after losing 17 of their 27 matches.

Their FA Cup journey also came to an end in the fifth round last weekend when they lost on penalties to Bournemouth after it ended 1-1 at the end of extra-time.

Matt Doherty and Boubacar Traore failed to convert their spot-kicks as Wolves crashed out of the competition.

Team News

Matheus Cunha will be suspended for Saturday’s clash after he received a straight red card for violent conduct against Bournemouth. Rodrigo Gomes, Sasa Kalajdzic, Enso Gonzalez, Emmanuel Agbadou and Yerson Mosquera will also be sidelined due to fitness issues.

As for Everton, Iliman Ndiaye, Seamus Coleman, Orel Mangala and Dwight McNeil will sit out the game as they are all confined to the infirmary. Meanwhile, Armando Broja and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are closing in on their comebacks but they will not be available for selection this weekend.

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Everton prediction

Wolves’ disappointing run of form doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence, as they have lost six of their previous eight top-flight matches.

It is unlikely to be an easy contest for Everton, but they should come away with all three points from the Molineux Stadium encounter.
