Preview: Tottenham Hotspur vs Everton – prediction, team news, line-ups

Everton will look to end their winless streak and finish their season on a high when they travel to North London to face relegation-threatened Tottenham Hotspur.

The Toffees are currently sitting 12th in the Premier League standings, while Spurs are just two points above the relegation zone in 17th.

Match Preview

Everton’s European hopes are over following the club’s six-game league winless run.

Their latest defeat came against Sunderland at the Hill Dickinson Stadium last weekend.

The Merseyside outfit took the lead through Merlin Rohl just before the break, but the visitors struck three goals to seal a comfortable 3-1 victory.

The result leaves David Moyes’ men with little to play for, with a top-half finish the best possible outcome for them.

As for Tottenham, the game is of huge significance.

Spurs are battling to survive in the Premier League after a dismal 2025-26 campaign.

A win or a draw will be sufficient to keep them in the English top-flight, but a defeat will see them relegated to the Championship provided West Ham United beat Leeds United in their home encounter.

Team News

Dominic Solanke has fully recovered from a hamstring injury in a huge boost for Tottenham. But a decision is yet to be made on the striker’s involvement on Sunday.

Mohammed Kudus, Ben Davies, Dejan Kulusevski, Xavi Simons, Cristian Romero and Wilson Odobert are all sidelined due to injury issues.

As for Everton, Jarrad Branthwaite and Jack Grealish will miss the final game of the season.

Idrissa Gueye is a doubt for Sunday, as he is yet to resume team training.
