Preview: Crystal Palace vs Everton – prediction, team news, line-ups

Everton will travel to South London to face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park this Sunday.

The Toffees are sitting 10th in the Premier League table, while Oliver Glasner’s men are four places below them in the standings.

Match Preview

Palace ended their 70-year trophy drought when they won the FA Cup last year by beating Manchester City in the final.

The Eagles are now poised to lift another trophy, as they have made it to the final of the Conference League.

Glasner’s side claimed a 5-2 aggregate win against Shakhtar Donetsk in the semi-final of the competition.

However, they still need a bit of work to be sure of their Premier League status.

Palace are currently seven points above the relegation zone, and victory against Everton would guarantee their safety.

David Moyes’ men will enter Sunday’s away game on the back of a thrilling 3-3 draw against Man City.

Everton were leading 3-1 with less than 10 minutes remaining, but a stoppage-time goal from Jeremy Doku ensured the spoils were shared at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The result meant the Toffees’ winless run extended to four league matches.

Team News

Palace have no fresh injuries from Thursday’s Conference League win, but a few players are likely to be rested. Eddie Nketiah, Evann Guessand and Cheick Doucoure are still in the infirmary.

As for Everton, Jack Grealish is still recovering from his foot injury, while Jarrad Branthwaite also remains on the sidelines.

Idrissa Gueye is edging closer to returning, but Sunday’s game will come too soon for him.

Crystal Palace vs Everton prediction

Everton have been unlucky to suffer defeats against Liverpool and West Ham United. They also performed well against City, but conceded late goals to play out a draw.

However, we believe they will bounce back to pick up a win against Palace, who are expected to rest some key players.
